This site confuses me almost as much as the name of the new James Bond film

Hello all,

I recently went to see Quantum of Solace, which, for those of you who aren't on the pulse of the UK film industry, is the ridiculously confusing name for the new James Bond film.
Dispite the confusing name, the plot however is not too hard to follow and I was impressed to see that it really looked like a James Bond film again. The previous film Casino Royal was, for me, a complete disappointment and not worthy of its high expectations. Not only did they replace the start sequence which is supposed to be gorgeous silouetted women dancing with Daniel Craig walking around, they also used him as they half naked person walking out of the sea which I beleive is not aimed at the right audience.
I was happy to see a more "James Bondy" film this time around when they included subtle movements that made Peirce Brosnan so good such as kicking the mans arm back into the lift on his way out after killing 3 agents. That was just cool!
I am pleased to see that they are back on the right tracks and look forward to more Bond films in the future.

Gotta disagree with you there, my Blonde Brother. I loved Casino Royale so much better than Quantum of Solace.

I do agree with you when you say that the character of Bond himself was a happy return to the cool figure of the earlier films: but to me the plot seemed to exist purely to tie together the (albeit brilliant) action sequences.

Plus, when in Casino Royale Bond was actually a darker more believable person, in this one they seemed to just shove some darkness on him, a kind of revenge-ish thing which wasn't properly developed or resolved.

The worst thing for me was the ending, mainly because I didn't expect it to end so suddenly. The massive hotel-on-fire sequence felt to me like the second-last action scene, and I was certain that there was going to be something else even bigger, even better which would tie up all the loose ends and leave us on a cliff-hanger, ready for the end of Craig's trilogy. But that didn't happen.

On a more positive note, I do feel that the storyline issues result from this being the middle of a three-film story; there is no real beginning or end, just middle, and so I await Daniel Craig's third Bond movie with glee!
